Where Exceptional Puppies Begin
-
Our dogs go through thorough health testing before being bred, including:
• OFA Hips (preliminary and/or official) or PennHIP
• OFA Elbows
• OFA Patellar Luxation
• OFA Cardiac
• OFA Eye Exam (CAER)
• Comprehensive Genetic TestingWe begin with OFA preliminary hip screenings and make breeding decisions based on those results. According to OFA, hip results at one year of age predict the two-year outcome about 93.8% of the time. Because prelims are not publicly listed on the OFA website, we’re always happy to share documentation directly.
Transparency matters to us. If you ever have questions about our health testing, just reach out, we’re an open book.

Let’s be honest every puppy is cute. But what really matters is how those puppies grow up. At M&H, our focus is on creating beautiful dogs that stay beautiful long after the puppy stage is over.
That doesn’t happen by accident. It comes from years of carefully choosing the right bloodlines, being intentional with every pairing, and using genetic testing to guide our decisions. We look for coats that age well, structure that holds up, and overall appearance that stays just as stunning in adulthood as it was in those first sweet weeks.

Every one of our parent dogs is raised in our home or in a loving guardian home. They aren’t kennel dogs, they’re couch cuddlers, car ride companions, pup-cup lovers, and full-time family members first.
They get to grow up with soft beds, quiet evenings, special outings, and all the little moments that make a dog feel truly loved. While the guardian program may be new to some, it’s at the heart of what we believe: dogs deserve real lives, real families, and real love always.
-
We know that everything starts with the parents. That’s why we’re so intentional about the dogs who make up our program. From the time they’re puppies and even after they become moms we’re always watching, learning, and making sure they continue to meet the standards we believe in.
Those same expectations apply to the dads we choose too. Whether they live with us or belong to another program, we only work with breeders we trust and respect. We never rush, never settle, and never compromise because the right parents make all the difference.

Feeding our dogs well is a responsibility we don’t take lightly. Their food isn’t just a meal it’s part of how we care for their health, energy, coats, and overall happiness. Every parent dog in our program receives high-quality food along with supportive add-ins chosen to meet their individual needs.
We’ve tested many brands over the years and found one that truly supports our dogs from the inside out. We also love adding wholesome extras like fresh fruits, gentle dairy, healthy oils, broths, and gut-supporting supplements to keep their bodies strong and thriving.
Our expecting and nursing moms receive extra support to match the demands of that season of life. We believe feeding well is an act of love and our dogs deserve nothing less than our best.
