Our Guardian Home Program allows some of our future mamas and papas to grow up exactly where we believe every dog belongs as a deeply loved member of a family. ♡

Instead of every dog in our program living with us, we carefully choose local families to become their forever home. Your guardian dog lives with you full-time, sleeps in your home, goes on adventures with your family, and is completely your dog in all the ways that matter most.

Milk & Honey retains breeding rights for a predetermined amount of time, and when your dog is needed for health testing or our breeding program, we work closely with you through that process. Once their breeding career is complete, they are officially retired and full ownership is transferred to their guardian family.

For us, the Guardian Home Program is about so much more than breeding. It allows us to keep our program small and intentional while making sure each of our dogs gets the individual love, attention and everyday family life they deserve.

Our guardian families become a pretty special part of the Milk & Honey family, too. It takes trust, communication and a little extra commitment but in return, you get the opportunity to love one of our dogs from the very beginning and be part of their story for life. ♡
