Honey Head Start is our introductory extended-training option for families who want their puppy to come home with a little more confidence, structure, and independence already underway.

Instead of heading home at their traditional go-home age, Honey Head Start puppies remain with us for an additional two weeks of one-on-one training and intentional care.

During those extra weeks, we begin bridging the gap between litter life and family life. Your puppy receives more individual time away from their littermates while we continue building on the foundation they’ve had since birth.

Honey Head Start may include:

• Continued individual crate training
• Building longer stretches of sleep overnight
• Continued potty-training foundations
• Introduction to basic commands such as sit, down + come
• Name recognition + engagement with their handler
• Introduction to leash walking
• Beginning door + mealtime manners
• Continued work on appropriate puppy mouthing + jumping
• Individual play, training + enrichment sessions
• Continued grooming and handling exposure
• Car ride exposure
• Continued confidence building + socialization
• Practice settling independently without littermates

These three weeks can make a big difference, but your puppy is still very much a baby when they come home. Potty training, crate training and obedience will not be considered finished, and consistency from their new family is still incredibly important.

Think of Honey Head Start as exactly what the name says: a head start.

We put the first pieces in place, help your puppy gain a little more independence, and give you a stronger foundation to continue building on once they’re home.

Honey Head Start includes the puppy’s additional three-week stay with us, daily training, continued socialization, food, care and all the extra one-on-one time that goes into helping prepare them for their transition home.

Every puppy develops at their own pace, so we focus on progress rather than perfection. Our goal is simply to send you home with a puppy who has had a little more time to learn, grow and prepare for life with you.

Honey Kindergarten is our five-week extended training experience for families who want to bring home a young puppy while having more of those early foundations already underway.

Instead of heading home at their traditional go-home age, Honey Kindergarten puppies remain with us for an additional five weeks, giving us more time to move beyond introductions and begin building consistency with the skills they'll use in everyday family life.

At this age, puppies are little sponges. Those extra weeks give us valuable time to work individually with your puppy while continuing their socialization, confidence building, and transition away from relying on their littermates.

Honey Kindergarten may include:

• Individual crate training + sleeping through the night
• Continued potty training with a more established routine
• Basic commands such as sit, down, come + place
• Name recognition + handler engagement
• Beginning leash manners
• Door + mealtime manners
• Introduction to waiting patiently for food, doors + attention
• Continued work on puppy mouthing, jumping + appropriate play
• Individual training + enrichment sessions
• Grooming, brushing, bathing + handling exposure
• Car rides + age-appropriate outings
• Exposure to new sights, sounds, surfaces + environments
• Practicing calm behavior and settling in the home
• Building independence away from littermates + other dogs
• Continued confidence building + socialization

With four additional weeks, we're able to ask a little more of your puppy than we can during Honey Head Start. We aren't just introducing skills we have more time to practice them and begin creating familiar routines.

That doesn't mean you'll be bringing home a perfectly trained puppy.

Your puppy is still young, still learning, and will need consistency once they enter an entirely new home with new people, expectations and routines. Some behaviors may even temporarily regress during that transition, which is completely normal.

Honey Kindergarten is about giving your puppy a stronger foundation, not creating a finished dog.

For families who want the puppy love… with a little less puppy chaos.

Honey Academy is our most advanced extended-training experience, created for families who love the idea of adding a puppy but would rather skip a little more of the chaos that comes with those early months.

With Honey Academy, your puppy will remain with us for two additional months beyond their traditional go-home date, giving us eight more weeks to build on the foundation they’ve already received through our puppy curriculum.

During this time, your puppy continues living and learning through everyday life with us. We shift our focus toward more individualized training, independence, household manners, real-world experiences, and creating consistent routines that will help make their eventual transition into your home a little smoother.

Rather than simply introducing new skills, those additional two months give us something incredibly valuable when raising a puppy: time + repetition.

Honey Academy isn't about creating a perfectly trained puppy who performs a list of commands on cue.

It's about helping your puppy learn how to live in the real world.

We want them learning how to settle in the house, ride comfortably in the car, walk with you, experience new environments, spend appropriate time independently, accept grooming and handling, and understand the everyday rhythms of family life.

At graduation, your puppy will still be a puppy. There will still be learning, growing and plenty of silly puppy moments ahead.

But instead of beginning together at eight weeks old, you'll be welcoming home a young dog who has had two additional months of intentional training, structure, socialization and life experience poured into them.

You still get the puppy love.

We just help you through a little more of the puppy chaos first.

$5,000 + your puppy’s individual investment

Honey Academy is an optional two-month extended training experience. The $5,000 training investment is separate from the individual investment listed for your chosen puppy.

This includes your puppy's extended stay with us, individualized training, daily care, food, enrichment, continued socialization, age-appropriate outings and the additional time devoted to preparing them for life with their family.

Every puppy learns and develops at their own pace, which means specific skills and reliability may vary from puppy to puppy. Moving into a new home can also temporarily affect established routines while they learn their new environment and family.
